The inspection visit was part of the chairman’s routine monitoring of key infrastructural and sports development projects aimed at promoting youth engagement, talent discovery and healthy living within the local government area.
During the visit, Hon. Ashimi assessed the level of work done so far, the quality of construction, and compliance with the approved design and standards for the project. He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, while also stressing the need for strict adherence to quality specifications and timely completion of the facility.
According to the chairman, the indoor table tennis hall, when completed, will serve as a major hub for sporting activities in Somolu, providing a conducive environment for training, competitions and community recreation. He noted that the project aligns with his administration’s commitment to investing in sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social inclusion and crime reduction.
He also charged the contractors handling the project to maintain professionalism, ensure safety standards on site and deliver the project within the agreed timeline.
