The engagement, which was held on Sunday, January 12, 2026, brought together chairmen and heads of local governments from across the state to deliberate on strategies for improving grassroots healthcare delivery and ensuring accessible, efficient, and sustainable primary healthcare services for residents.
The Lagos State Government hosted the programme, which took place at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos. It attracted key stakeholders in the health sector, including representatives of development partners and institutions such as UNICEF, the World Bank, Nigeria Health Watch, as well as relevant state and local government health agencies.
The dialogue focused on collaborative leadership, funding mechanisms, service delivery improvements, and policy alignment needed to reposition primary healthcare as the foundation of the state’s health system.
Princess Bada reaffirmed the commitment of the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA administration to prioritising community health, noting that strengthening primary healthcare remains critical to improving the well-being and productivity of residents at the grassroots.
The forum ended with a renewed resolve among participating local government leaders to deepen partnerships and implement actionable reforms that will enhance healthcare outcomes across Lagos State.
