Somolu APC crisis deepens as Kuye, AbdulHamed groups fight dirty on social media ahead of LG election

It’s no longer news that the social media platforms have been awashed with series of accusations and counter-accusation of misappropriation of funds and certificate forgery by the two well-known political bigwigs in Somolu All Progressive Congress (APC) in recent times.

The recent development has led to the Kuye group sponsoring media war through Sahara reporters accusing the incumbent council chairman of misappropriation of funds meant for several projects in the community.

As if that was not enough, the latter group also responded with a counter allegation of diversion of N54million federal government ICT project by member Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ademorin Kuye meant for Somolu Federal Constituency.

According to a reliable source, the age-long crisis has witnessed series of reconciliation pacts that has brought together top political leaders from Lagos East Senatorial District which include the late Hon. Bayo Osinowo, the then-Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District and one of the Governor Advisory Council (GAC), Senator Anthony Adefuye but yet to subdue.

Reports revealed that ever since the announcement of the election date by Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), the campaign of calumny by both groups began to emanate there and there trying to outwit each other in leadership supremacy.

Amazingly, when some of them see one another on the street, they exchange pleasantries and return to the platform to throw banter of some sort opening can of worms.

Meanwhile, both group leaders have yet to clear the air on the purported allegation of misappropriating funds raised against themselves as at the time filing this report.
