Eid-el-Fitri 2021: Giwa Obayori sends goodwill messages, urges FG to step up fight against insecurity

As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitri to mark the successful end of one month of fast during the holy month of Ramadan 2021, Giwa Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu (Kuye), Giwa Alhaji Surajudeen Adesina Lasisi has sent a goodwill message to the members of the Egbe and to the entire Muslim ummah to commemorate the day.

Giwa Alhaji Surajudeen Adesina Lasisi has asked the Muslim faithful to emulate the virtues of Prophet Mohammed as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitri. He used the occasion to call on all Muslims to put into practice lessons learned during the Ramadan period and to love and share with the less privileged in the society as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.

Azury as fondly called, in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Egbe, Yori Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, in Ijebu Ode on Tuesday enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the period to offer prayers for peace, unity, prosperity, and urge the Federal Government to step up the fight against insecurity.

Giwa Lasisi said, “the time is now for all hands to be on deck to ensure that peace reigns supreme in every part of the nation as no meaningful development and growth can be evident in a chaotic environment.

Giwa said “honestly as someone who is so passionate about Nigeria and has for over a decade been contributing to her economic prosperity and development, I am worried just like many others too that the challenges of insecurity are getting out of control in the country.

He said “I think it’s about time the federal government who controls all the security agencies stop foot-dragging when it comes to tackling the problems of insecurity. The federal government must step up its game, it should organize a security summit where every stakeholder will offer their suggestions on how best to tackle this problem. He, therefore, wishes everyone a very happy, prosperous, and blissful Eid Day!
