In order to further enhance economic activity in her domain, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri, Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, hosted the first-ever Ikosi-Isheri Trade and Exhibition on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at the Babajide Sanwo-Olu International Market, Ketu, Lagos, under the theme “Building Prosperity through Trade, Innovation and Partnership.”

The five-day event, which opened on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, had food and beverage companies, fashion outfits, telecommunication giants, financial institutions, and arts and crafts exhibitors in attendance.
According to the host chairman, Princess Bada reaffirmed her leadership commitment to a collective vision for growth and success in every corner of her community.

She continued, “As an Omo Iya-Oloja, my life has always been deeply connected to the marketplace. I was raised amidst the hustle, the transactions, and the dream of hardworking individuals like my late mother dedicated market woman.”.
“She instilled in me the belief that every opportunity should be within reach, not for just a selected few, but for all who are willing to put in the hard work”.
“It is from this very belief that I have made an intentional decision to make this trade fair free for all participants. This is not just a gesture, but a statement commitment to ensuring that no Ikosi-Isheri LCDA entrepreneur is left behind, no matter the background, their resources, or even their stage in business”. She stated.

Meanwhile, the Lagos state House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency II, Hon. Femi Saheed in his remarks commended the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Bada for all the good initiatives she had embarked on since assumption of office particularly the first ever Ikosi-Isheri Trade Fair and Exhibition show noting that the trade Fair would boost the economic prosperity of the LCDA.
“I want to commend my sister and the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri, Princess Samiat Bada for this great initiative. The initiative no doubt will not only enhance the businesses in Ikosi-Isheri but bring about rapid growth and development where and when necessary”.

Hon. Femi Saheed in conclusion admonished the Babaloja and Iyaloja and all other business entrepreneurs and CEOs around who have taken spaces to avail themselves of the advantages of the trade fair to shape up their businesses.
Present at the opening of the trade fair and exhibition include Political elites, government functionaries, captains of Industry artisans, traditional rulers, and religious leaders not leaving out businessmen and women alike.
