The two-day staff training programme organised by Somolu LG in conjunction with Rahmsek Company and sponsored by the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has finally come to a close on 11th Thursday, October 2024 on a high note.
The training programme tagged “Staff Motivation and Effective Service Delivery in the Local Government.” was put together to provide management staff with valuable insights and strategies to boost motivation and improve service delivery within the local government.
Commenting on the programme, one of the training facilitators and consultants, Mr. Gboyega Ayoko commended the council chairman for investing in the regular training of his staff which he said would go a long way in achieving efficient service delivery.
“I must confess, this is an impressive turnout. The local government has a workforce that looks forward to having this kind of training and I believe it will help them in enhancing their capabilities where and when necessary”.
The former Council Manager, however, commended Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for equipping his staff with the necessary training programme to achieve the target goal.
Meanwhile, one of the staff who participated in the training, Mr. Marshal Nwoh revealed that the training has been so impactful where issues discussed would help them to be effective, productive and efficient in carrying out their duties.
“From the facilitator’s point of view, he was real and didn’t make it so ambiguous. He came down to everyone’s level such that we can have an idea of what he was trying to pass across to us and I assure you that everything discussed here will be embraced and put into use”.
Similarly, Mrs. Akinbami Esther, a finance staff in her remarks described the programme as a good one that has added more to their knowledge moving from where they were to another horizon with better understanding.
She went further, “I want to believe with this kind of training, we would have a good and right attitude to work especially the people around us. We now have a better understanding of how to move our local to the next level with the right attitude.
The participants did not leave without pouring encomium on the council boss for his unflinching support while they prayed to God to continue to guide them in all his endeavours.
