The ancient town of Oru-Ijebu in Ogun State is set to come alive on the 27th of October, 2024, as the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ifeoluwa Cathedral Parish, hosts its 9th Adults Harvest Thanksgiving anniversary.
This year’s event, tagged “Onibu-Ore,” promises to be a grand celebration, drawing together the Celestial family and guests from across the western region.
The Annual Harvest Thanksgiving is a significant event in the church’s calendar, offering an opportunity for members to gather in gratitude and celebrate the year’s blessings. The “Onibu-Ore” theme, which translates to “Giver of Good Things,” encapsulates the spirit of thanksgiving and acknowledgment of divine provision.
Preparations for the anniversary are already in full swing, with the church’s Harvest Committee working tirelessly to ensure a memorable event. According to the Parish Shepherd, Superior Evangelist Bada Adewale Omotayo revealed that the event will feature activities designed to honour God and foster unity among members. “Our 9th Adults Harvest Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the goodness of God and to celebrate His faithfulness. We have planned various spiritual and social activities that will strengthen our bonds and uplift our spirits”. He stated.
The highlight of the celebration will be the thanksgiving service, which will include special prayers, hymns, and a sermon centered around the theme “Onibu-Ore.” The service will be followed by a Bazaar and communal feast, where attendees can enjoy traditional delicacies.
In addition to the religious observances, the event will also feature stage performances by the church’s choir and youth groups. These performances aim to showcase the rich heritage of the Oru-Ijebu community and the diverse talents within the parish.
