The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Lateef Ashimi, on Tuesday, 25th of February, attended the annual Ramadan lecture organised by the Somolu Muslim community, where he called on the Muslim community in Somolu to continue to uphold his administration in prayers and extend their unwavering support to ensure the successful delivery of his administration’s developmental agenda.
The council boss noted that governance is a continuous process that requires not only strategic planning and effective execution but also spiritual backing and moral encouragement from the people. He stressed that prayers remain a powerful tool in navigating the complexities of leadership and in achieving meaningful progress.
He further assured the Muslim community that his government remains focused on inclusive development, youth empowerment, infrastructural improvement, and social welfare initiatives that will benefit all residents of Somolu, irrespective of religious or political affiliation.
The chairman reiterated that his administration would continue to engage stakeholders, including religious bodies, community leaders, and youth groups, in order to strengthen collaboration and ensure transparency in governance.
Over 8 millions of Naira was donated for the infrastructural development of the house of worship to give a befitting look and maintenance status.
