The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Lateef Ashimi, on Wednesday, February 17, 2026, penned a heartfelt birthday message to his beloved wife, Shakirah Temitope Ashimi, as she marked another year of life.
In an emotional tribute personally signed by the council boss, Ashimi described his wife as his “greatest earthly blessing” and a pillar of strength whose unwavering support continues to shape both his family life and public service journey.

“Your incessant advocacy and fierce devotion to the empowerment of the girl child and young women are not just noble pursuits; they are your heartbeat, and they are deeply felt by us all,” he added.
