As the countdown to the much-anticipated 2025 Local Government Elections continues, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward E, Somolu Local Government, has intensified its grassroots mobilization through a vigorous house-to-house campaign.
July 2nd 2025, the Okesuna-Alase axis of Ward E came alive as APC stalwarts, not leaving out respected political figures, stormed the streets in a show of solidarity and commitment to securing victory for the party’s candidates. The campaign trail was spearheaded by Hon. Afeez Raheem, the APC Councillorship candidate for Ward E, who was accompanied by members of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and Street Captains.
With just few days to the polls, the team moved door-to-door, passionately appealing to residents to throw their support behind the APC, highlighting the track record of the party and the competency of its candidates.
During the campaign, the residents were also introduced to the APC Chairmanship flagbearer, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, and his running mate, Hon. Taiwo Ojomu. The team urged voters to rally behind the duo, describing them as capable leaders with a clear vision for sustained development and grassroots empowerment in Somolu.
Speaking during the outreach, Gafara emphasized the importance of ongoing community engagement, reaffirming that the APC’s strategy is built on direct interaction with the people. He noted that the campaign train would not slow down, promising that the outreach efforts would continue unabated in the days leading up to the election.
“Our strength lies in our connection to the people. This house-to-house campaign is not a one-off—it is a continuous process. We want our people to see and feel our commitment to them,” Gafara stated.
The campaign visit was marked by enthusiasm and warm receptions across various households, as party loyalists and residents pledged their support for the APC. The day’s activities underscored the party’s determination to maintain its dominance in Somolu through a robust grassroots approach and voter engagement.
With the election date drawing near, APC leaders in Ward E are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to secure a landslide victory for Hon. Afeez Raheem and the entire APC ticket.
