In order to ensure the contractors adhere strictly to terms and conditions and as well check the level of development of the ongoing projects in the Somolu local government area of the state, the Executive chairman of the council, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ few days embarked on the inspection of new Somolu local government office complex and other projects in the community.
The Agba-Akin of Agboyi Kingdom who was conspicuously flanked by the Structural Engineer Engr. Olalekan Busari, Builder Michael Akanmu, and some other officials of the council during the inspection of the new complex described the level of the development at the site as ‘considerably satisfying and laudable’.
He adds, “With the level of development I have seen here today, I think the council complex is on course as expected. Right from the foundation to what it is now, it’s worth commendable. I come on a regular basis to ensure things are done properly and don’t forget that once the foundation is faulty, the building is messed up but in all honesty, I’m satisfied with the level and standard of work done here so far. This is just the second phase of the floor and in the next few months, the third and the last will be added.” he enthused.
The Multi-level office complex which began last year with a foundation laying ceremony will be one of the best among other local government secretariat when completed according to the council boss.
Meanwhile, the multi-award-winning council boss also inspected the ongoing Wesley Primary School situated at Emmanuel Street, Ijebutedo (Ward C) where he lauded the contractor while urging the contractors to speed up the completion of the projects as scheduled for the projects to be commissioned for use without any delay while the contractors affirmed that the projects would be completed within the specified timeframe without any delay.
“Dullar’ as fondly called by his supporters and admirers has been adjudged by the concerned youths and residents as one of the best council chairmen who’d not only put soccour on the faces of his people especially the elderly through monthly ‘Ounje Arugbo’ food palliative, youth/women empowerment but also scored himself high in the area of infrastructural development.
