Orekoya pays special tribute to late Somolu LGA Women leader, Hon. Fashoro (Akoi)

The All Progressive Congress candidate vying for Lagos State House of Assembly constituency I at the 2023 general elections, Hon. Biodun Orekoya has paid a special tribute to the late Somolu LGA Women leader, Hon. Abiola Fashoro (Akoi) who died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

According to the former Executive Secretary and one time Vice-Chairman of Somolu local government who expressed shock over the death of the articulate political icon whom he described as exemplary women’s advocate, the epitome of womanhood who always sees good in what others are doing. A trailblazer and political loyalist.

He continued, “Akoi as fondly called by her political allies and family was a very generous grassroots politician who took delight in sharing her knowledge and experience for the good of society. Her contribution to the growth and development of APC in Somolu and the state at large remains immeasurable. In fact, an Iroko tree has fallen.” He affirmed.

“It’s my prayer that God should repose her soul to eternal glory, and grant her family and friends the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable loss”. Rest in peace Mrs. Abiola Fashoro (A.K.A Akoi)”
