BOSKOH throws a lavish party for retired Pharma. Tech. Akerele after 35 years in service

It was a joyful and historic moment on Sunday 5th February 2023 as all the Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors of BOSKOH came together to celebrate and honour one of their own, Pharm Tech (Mrs) Funmi Akerele, the Supervisor for Ikorodu/Ijede/Kosofe/Oshodi-Isolo LGAs, who retired from Lagos State Civil Service as Chief Pharm. Technician GL 14.

The auspicious event which was held at the prestigious Equal Right Restaurant in the Ojodu Berger area of the state had one of the most eloquent Afro/Juju Musical bands, Floto who churned out good vibes ceaselessly to the listening and dancing pleasure of the guests who all dressed gorgeously for the occasion.

Speaking to Somolu News correspondent, the elated and vibrant retired but not tired Pharmacist said she gave God the glory for giving her the opportunity to serve her people, community, and humanity as a whole.

She went further, “Honestly, it has been hectic, overwhelming, and wonderful years attending to patients from one General Hospital to the other. It has not been an easy experience to have served for 35 years meritoriously I must say and I thank God for His mercy and love.”

“And today, I want to specially thank my husband, Dr. Olalekan Akerele, my children, family, and friends who have been there for me and my family for their love and perseverance.”

The Epe-born Pharma. Tech never hesitates to pour encomium on the First Lady of Lagos State, Her Excellency, Dr. Claudia Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, all BOSKOH Executives, members, and volunteers under the leadership and Head of Supervisor, Dr. Chris Akinwale, the Chairperson of Somolu local government, Hon. Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salau, Dr. Demola Gureje for their support and understanding.

Akerele retired statutorily from acting service of Lagos State Health Commission; Somolu General Hospital, Pharmacy Department on January 13th, 2023.
