2021 Lagos LG Poll: Somolu Arewa community declares support for Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu second term bid

The Arewa community in Somolu/Bariga has declared their support for Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ who’s vying for a second term in office as the Chairman of Somolu local government.

According to the Chairman of the Arewa community, Alhaji Yahaya Salau Malami who made this known to Somolu Newspaper at one of their meetings recently, where he reiterated the group’s commitment to the success of the incumbent council Chairman at the local government poll scheduled for July 24th, 2021.

He stressed further, “Hon. Dullar led administration is a committed and responsible one that has been carrying us along in any of the programmes and we’ll do everything sensible within our reach to ensure he won as we will come out en-mass to cast our vote for him”.

“In the history of Somolu, no local government Chairman has done what Hon. AbdulHamed ‘Dullar’ has done so far and I can tell that 99% of the Hausa community are solidly behind him and ready to give him every necessary support where needed”.

“APC is our party, Hon. AbdulHamed ‘Dullar’ is our chosen and preferred candidate. We’ve benefitted from many of his empowerment programmes and he deserves our support at this moment. And just in the recent times, he offered one of us free Hajj (Muslim Pilgrimage to Mecca) and we are so delighted with such spiritual upliftment from him”.

Alhaji Yahaya, however, poured encomium on the council Chairman, Hon. Abdulhamed ‘Dullar’ for counting them worthy; enjoying dividends of democracy irrespective of their tribe.
