In order to have a hitch-free local council election for councillors in the Somolu local government area of the state, the Lagos House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1 at the Lagos Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Olowo Emmanuel and the Somolu All Progressive Congress (APC) leaders in Ward E have reconciled the aggrieved aspirants who were at loggerhead over who would get what.

Speaking recently at the “Dullar Continua” Ward E meeting held at Anuoluwapo street where Hon. Olowo asked the Apex leaders in the ward to work assiduously to maintain and sustain the peace and unity among the party faithful and the teaming supporters ahead of the local government election billed for 24th of July 2021.

He noted that the aspirants must accept whoever comes out victorious at the primary election and support the chosen APC candidate for progress as the party name implies.

“In any election, there must always be a winner and a loser. That does not mean the end of life. There’s always another time to compete.” he stressed.

He, however, urged them to shun politics of bitterness, remain focus in order to achieve the set goals by the ruling party.

Meanwhile, the party meeting which was coordinated by Hon. Maryam Owolabi Bada witnessed the mammoth crowd of young and old who came to support Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu “Dullar” second term bid with party supporters winning cash prizes and many other household items like freezer, Gas cookers, irons, frying pans, and live chickens through raffles draw.

Dullar Babes led by Salawa were not left out of the show as they kept churning out scintillating vibes intermittently to the admiration of the guests who could not but had to “carry their body” as usually said in local parlance.

Among party leaders present at the epoch-making event includes House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, immediate past Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. Olorogun Bagostowe, former Sole Administrator of the council, Hon. Bamidele Williams Lawanson, former Executive Secretary of Somolu local government and commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Commission, Hon. Engr. Biodun Orekoya.

Others also present are Apex leader Alhaji Bisiriyu Akewusure, Apex leader Kola Adebayo, Somolu Assistant Women leader, Hon. Mrs. Bisola Adenola, Woman leader Ward E, Mrs. Biola Doherty, leader Ade Adebambo, and leader Tosin Osinowo to mention but a few.
