Infrastructure serves as the lifeline of any thriving community. Since July 2025, Mayor Ashimi has moved beyond rhetoric, blending frequent community engagement with consistent physical development.
Marking the ninth major road project finalised by the current administration, the completion of T-Shape Duru Close (Zone 1, Ward E) has turned a once-dilapidated stretch into a source of local pride that complements Ogunbadejo and the surrounding streets.
Indeed, the administration’s reconstruction efforts show no signs of slowing. While residents of Duru Close celebrate their new commute, work is intensifying across the local government. In terms of wider-scale impact, an additional 22 road projects are simultaneously underway across various political wards to ensure no neighbourhood is left behind.
Following the successful handover of Duru Close, the Council’s infrastructure team is already mobilising for the next phase of the local development master plan.
