The Publisher of Somolu Newspaper, Mr. Sheriff Owolabi Bada and his wife, a former Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) in Somolu Local Government, Hon. Maryam Owolabi-Bada, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to three newly sworn-in council chairpersons across Lagos State.
Bada described the emergence of the three as a testament to their track records of dedication to grassroots development and effective leadership.
“I heartily congratulate my dear sister, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri, Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, on her well-deserved return for another term of service to her people. I equally extend my best wishes to the chairman of Somolu LG, Hon. AbdulLateef Ashimi, and the chairman of Bariga LCDA, Hon. Bukonla Adedeji. Their emergence is not just a win for their political platforms, but for the people who trust in their capacity to deliver,” she said.
Hon. Bada, who is widely regarded for her advocacy on women and youth empowerment, expressed optimism that the newly sworn-in chairpersons would prioritize people-centered policies and further consolidate the gains of grassroots governance in their communities.
“As former public office holders and community-minded leaders, the trio understands the urgent needs of the people and I am confident that their tenures will usher in more inclusive development, improved infrastructure, youth-focused initiatives, and greater support for women and vulnerable groups,” she added.
She urged residents of Ikosi-Isheri, Somolu, and Bariga to give their full support to their respective chairpersons for the progress and prosperity of their communities.
