Ashimi/Ojomu 2025:Praises as LOC receives souvenir from a donor ahead of the LG election

In a move that further solidifies grassroots support for the Ashimi/Ojomu 2025 Chairmanship bid in Somolu Local Government, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has received a generous donation of campaign souvenirs from a well-meaning benefactor, Hon. AbdulWasiu Azeez, a former APC councillor who represented ward F under Hon. Olorogun Omogbolahan Bagotowe.

The presentation, which took place a few days ago, was greeted with excitement and commendation by key stakeholders of the Ashimi/Ojomu campaign structure. The item, branded Exercise Books which is expected to boost visibility and deepen community engagement as the July 12, 2025, local government election draws closer.

The donor, noted that the gesture was born out of admiration for the leadership qualities of Hon. AbdulLateef Ashimi, the APC flag bearer, and his running mate, Hon. Taiwo Ojomu.

Speaking at the handover event, the LOC Director-General, Hon. Williams Bamidele Lawanson, expressed profound gratitude to the donor, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. “These campaign materials will help our team in its door-to-door outreach across wards. We appreciate every support that brings us closer to victory,” he said.

Hon. Ashimi, however, in his appreciation remarks, assured party loyalists and residents of Somolu that his campaign remains rooted in inclusiveness, service, and progressive governance. “We will not take your support for granted. Our administration, by God’s grace, will be people-centred and development-driven,” he stated.

The event witnessed the presence of several campaign coordinators, ward mobilizers, and youth leaders, all of whom applauded the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a landslide victory for Ashimi/Ojomu at the polls.

As campaign momentum builds up, the Ashimi/Ojomu ticket continues to enjoy growing endorsements and support from across Somolu’s political, social, and economic stakeholders, reinforcing its position as the team to beat in the forthcoming local government elections.
