In a grand display of strength, unity, and political preparedness, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Greater Kosofe on Monday 30th of June, 2025 hosted a mega rally that drew thousands of party faithful, stakeholders, youth groups, women associations, and prominent political figures across the Kosofe Federal Constituency.
The well-attended event, held at the CMD Ground, CMD Road, Magodo, Lagos, served as a powerful mobilization drive ahead of the much-anticipated July 12 local government elections in Lagos State.
Chanting party slogans and waving brooms—the APC’s official symbol—supporters flooded the venue in solidarity with the APC flagbearers and to affirm their readiness to deliver a resounding victory for the party at the polls.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, the former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri; Hon. Kazeem Afolabi popularly known (ABK) stated that the rally was not only a show of numerical strength but also a strategic declaration of the party’s dominance in the zone.
“Today, the APC Greater Kosofe has shown Lagos and Nigeria that we are united, prepared, and more than ever ready to record a landslide victory in the upcoming local government elections. We are solidly behind all our candidates and we will deliver,” he said.
He praised the APC-led administration in Lagos State under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for their visionary leadership and commitment to the development of Lagos and the nation at large.
In her remarks, the APC Chairmanship flagbearer for Ikosi-isheri LCDA, Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, expressed gratitude to the party leaders and the people of Ikosi-isheri for their unflinching support. She promised to consolidate on her achievements in office and ensure continued progress if given the mandate again.
“Our record speaks for itself. From infrastructure to education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, we have delivered. The next four years will bring even more greater dividends of democracy to our people. We’re counting on you, go out there and vote for APC”. Bada declared.
Other APC candidates across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, and Kosofe LG were also presented to the public amidst loud cheers, with various speakers taking turns to urge the electorate to come out en masse and vote for the broom symbol on election day.
Notable political figures present at the rally included Hon. Femi Saheed, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency II; Hon. Samuel Olanrewaju, former APC LG chairman; the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Bada; and Hon. Dele Oshinowo, Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Executive Chairman of Kosofe local government; Hon. Moyo Ogunlewe among others.
Party women, youth wings, artisans, and market leaders all pledged their commitment to ensure the victory of APC candidates across the three councils in the Greater Kosofe axis.
The mega rally climaxed with performances by local artistes, chants of victory songs, and a rousing atmosphere of confidence and celebration, as the APC camp reaffirmed its readiness to secure a sweeping triumph on July 12.
With momentum clearly in their favor and internal structures well-coordinated, the APC in Greater Kosofe appears poised for what many describe as a landslide victory at the forthcoming local government polls.
