Hon. Morenike, Chairman, Igando-Ikotun Local Government Development Council Area (LCDA), on Thursday reiterated commitment towards the rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructure in the area.

She said this during the inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation of One Salu road Old Garage Palace way.

“Therefore, we have to give people what would make them happy for a long time. The council has a standard and it should not be compromised”.

“Even while the construction is on, the road is already serving as an alternative route for those moving between Oke Salu Old Garage and Isolo road.

“This is to reduce the pressure of traffic congestion being experienced at Ikotun Roundabout.

The chairman ordered marketers and shop owners who had extended their wares beyond the drainage to remove them.

“This is to leave the drain open as it is designed to be. An open-drain is easy to clear even before it is filled with refuse, hence, preventing flood on the roads.”
