Ijebu Prince, Lanre to wed Senator Abiru’s Daughter, Fadekemi

The romance between an Ijebu-Ode Prince and an Ikorodu belle is set to culminate in a wedding celebration that promises to be the talk of the town.

The upcoming nuptials have already caught the attention of dignitaries and socialites from Lagos and beyond. Olanrewaju, son of socialite and businessman Omoba Olabode Onanuga and his wife Oluyemi, found love in Fadekemi, whose parents, Senator Abiru and his wife Feyisola, are known for their philanthropic efforts through the SAIL empowerment initiative.

Sources reveal that the traditional Nikkai ceremony will be held this weekend at the stately residence of the Abirus in Ikorodu, while the engagement and wedding celebrations are slated for the following weekend on the Island.

Olanrewaju’s lineage traces back to the same royal house as the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Dr Sikiru Adetona, and he is also a cousin to Otunba Anikinlaya, Omoba Abiodun Onanuga, and a nephew to Omoba Adebayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu.

Senator Abiru, who serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, as well as the Nigerian Southern Senators Forum, has already extended invitations to his colleagues and prominent figures in the banking and insurance industries, ensuring that this union will be nothing short of grand.
