The recently concluded Lagos State Local Government primary elections have continued to generate excitement across various quarters, particularly in the Somolu community, as prominent media practitioner and publisher of Somolu News, Mr. Sheriff Owolabi Bada, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the trio of Hon. Abdul Lateef Ashimi, Hon. Bukonla Adedeji, and the Yeyesewa of Ilara Kingdom, Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, following their resounding victories at the just concluded party primaries.
In a congratulatory message released on Friday, Mr. Bada described the victory of the three aspirants as “a reaffirmation of the people’s trust, the power of consistency, and the evidence of grassroots support built over time.”
According to the Somolu News Publisher, who is also a stakeholder in the community, said, the success of Hon. Ashimi in Somolu local government, Hon. Bukonla in Bariga LCDA and the emergence of Princess Bada at the primary level in Ikosi-isheri Local Development Area (LCDA) signifies a new chapter of hope, resilience, and inclusive governance for the respective councils.
“I am sincerely elated not only by their emergence but also by the well-deserved victory of my esteemed political icons, Hon. Ashimi, Hon. Bukonla and Princess Bada. The primary election result is a testament to their hard work and the people’s trust in their leadership,” Bada stated.
He further praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for conducting a peaceful and transparent primary across all local government areas, noting that the process demonstrated the party’s readiness to deepen democratic values at the grassroots.
Princess Bada, while assuring party faithful and residents of Ikosi-Isheri of her commitment to purposeful leadership, called on all aspirants who participated in the primaries to unite and work together for the collective victory of the party in the forthcoming local government elections.
“Now that the primaries are over, we must close ranks, reconcile where necessary, and work collectively for the progress of our party and the betterment of our local councils. The interest of the people should be our shared priority,” she emphasized.
