Lagos – One of the prominent Islamic clerics in Lagos, Alhaji Sheikh Abdul Rahman Taiwo Adeyemi Olorunseye, popularly known as Mukadam, recently shut down parts of the city with elaborate surprise birthday celebration in honour of his beloved wife, Mrs. Aina Taiwo-Adeyemi Olorunseye.
The well-attended event which took place Ile-Iyan, Ikeja a few days ago, was nothing short of a grand affair, as family, friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the life and virtues of the woman behind the revered cleric.
The celebration, which blended tradition, glamour, and spiritual blessings, was held in his abode in Lagos.
Mukadam, widely respected within Islamic circles for his teachings and spiritual guidance, did not hesitate to show his romantic and appreciative side, lavishing praise on his wife for her unwavering support, humility, and dedication to both family and faith.
Clad in majestic Islamic attire, the celebrant and her husband stole the spotlight as they became cynosure of all eyes and the admiration of guests. The event was marked by joyful moments, heartfelt tributes, melodious Islamic songs (Nasheeds), and a sumptuous feast.
In his brief remarks during the occasion, Sheikh Taiwo Olorunseye described his wife as his “pillar of strength” and “a woman of rare virtue” whose contribution to his personal and spiritual life has been immeasurable.
He continued, “She has been a true companion, a friend, and an inspiration. Celebrating her today is the least I can do to honour such a wonderful soul,” he said.
Several Islamic scholars, community leaders, and dignitaries took to their social media handles to offer prayers and goodwill messages to the celebrant and her family. Many applauded the cleric for being a model of love and gratitude in a society where such public displays of spousal appreciation are rare, especially among religious figures.
