The Unity Community Association (Ogunbadejo, Duru, Akanni, and Aiyepe Streets) in the Somolu local government area of the state was a cynosure of all eyes on Sunday 1st of December, 2024 as the community in partnership with Lingzi Global Limited organized A-One Day community health awareness and as well enlighten them on wealth creation.
According to the Chairman of the association, Engr. Lanre Odujoko described the health initiative as a step in the right direction that will go a long way in stemming the tide of health challenges in the community and giving every individual a chance to live a healthier and secure life.
He continued, “The health initiative became necessary in reducing the health challenges many of our people are facing in the community. The main reason why we partner with Lingzi Global Limited is to sensitize our people so that they can benefit from the products and also make ends meet.”
Similarly, Mrs. Deborah Oluwadamilare, the leader of the Lingzi Global Health Initiative team, said in her message that their essence in coming to the community was to enable the people of the community to enjoy the health benefits of using the products and also benefit financially from them.
She added, “We are Lingzi from Lingzi Global Limited, we are into Coffee, Chocolate, and Tea. We are here in the Somolu community to sensitize the residents about the benefits of being Lingzi, Knowing Lingzi, and taking Lingzi Coffee, Chocolate, and Tea as products. We are here to give them health, wealth, and disease-free lifestyle.
One of the residents, Mr. Tony Alenke who was present at the event said he was delighted to have witnessed the one-day health awareness initiative while he showered praises on the organizers for having the interest of the people at heart.
“For me, I see this as a welcome development and I believe it will bring a kind of soccour to the people as far as health is concerned because a lot of people are going through a lot when talking about health. I give the organizers thumbs up and wish them all the best”.
In addition, the SA to the Somolu Council Chairman on Women Affairs on Poverty Alleviation (WAPA); Hon. Mrs. Maryam Owolabi-Bada who also spoke to Somolu News at the gathering thanked the association and Lingzi Global Limited for the health awareness programme noting that such an initiative was an eye-opener opportunity for the people of the community.
“Although, there have been several other health initiatives before now but this particular one is community friendly initiative considering the opportunities embedded in it using the products and as well making money from it”.
“There’s an adage that says, a problem shared, is a problem solved, the moment Lingzi Global Limited brings their health products to our doorsteps, some individuals’ health challenges are half solved”.
In her closing remarks, Mrs. Oluwadamilare said she was super excited about the turnout of the residents who trooped out in their numbers to know more about the products which she said was quite encouraging.
She, however, thanked the association’s executives and the residents for their unflinching support and cooperation in making the event a success while she hopes to get more of such support in the future.
