The Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, on Friday, December 6, 2024, presented the Year 2025 budget to the Legislative Arms. Themed the *“Budget of Acceleration and Consolidation,”* the financial plan aims to build on the administration’s achievements and accelerate development across key sectors.
The event, held at the Soon to be commission Otunba Bushura Alebiosu Legislative complex, in the Council Secretariat, was graced by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Seriki Muritala, APC Lagos State Youth Leader; Hon. Tobi Oladepo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties; Hon. Damilare Orimoloye, Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Governor; Alhaji Alli Olatunbosun, APC LGA Chairman; Alhaji Akeem Osho; Hon. Yinka Ogunleye, Deputy Mayor, who led the Executive team; and Mrs. Mercy Adeyemi, who led the Management team.
Princess Bada described the 2025 budget as a blueprint to consolidate progress and deliver accelerated development for the benefit of all residents. Key priorities outlined include infrastructure development, educational improvement, healthcare upgrades, youth empowerment through sports, and expanded social welfare programs such as the Free Food Distribution initiative.
Commendations poured in from stakeholders present, with Dr. Seriki Muritala describing the budget as a visionary plan that reflects the administration’s dedication to grassroots development. Hon. Tobi Oladepo and Alhaji Alli Olatunbosun also praised the Mayoress for her people-centered leadership.
The Leader of the 5th Legislative Arm, Hon. Yunusa Salami, in his closing remarks, commended the Mayoress for the judicious implementation of the 2024 budget, stating, “The Mayoress utilized the 2024 budget effectively, ensuring impactful development across the LCDA. We are confident and willing to approve the Year 2025 budget, knowing it will equally bring significant progress to our community.”
The presentation concluded with optimism as stakeholders expressed confidence in the administration’s vision for a transformative 2025 in Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
