The Chairman of the House Committee on Health and the councillor representing Ward C Ijebu-Tedo in Somolu local government area of the state, Hon. Folarin Adegbite has hinted that Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ led administration has done tremendously well in almost all the facets of human endeavour, particularly in the Somolu LG health sector.
The councillor made this assertion during an interview session with Somolu News recently where he poured encomium on the council chief for the positive changes the local government had witnessed since he assumed office as a public officeholder stating that the best is yet to come as the chairman has promised to leave an endearing legacy.
He added, “My emergence as Councillor of Ward C has witnessed tremendous and positive changes in Somolu, particularly in the health sector courtesy of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu administration. For instance, Dr Claudius Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu Primary Health Care Centre was commissioned in 2021 while others have rehabilitated to provide efficient health care delivery to the people of Somolu community without any hindrance whatsoever”.
“Having done that, the old local government has been demolished to pave the way for a new world-class General Hospital with state-of-the-art equipment courtesy of the state government while the new Somolu Secretariat has been cited in another location”.
“Let me also remind you about the ongoing ‘Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme‘ which was facilitated by the state government. It was a success as the residents have been commending the state government for such a plausible initiative. Several other health programmes have been table before the council chairman and I believe some of them will be executed before the year runs out”.
Hon. Folarin Adegbite, however, said several other state-facilitated and private sectors health programmes have been executed while some are still in the pipeline stating that the healthcare delivery system was better off than what it was in the past.
