Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate representing Somolu constituency II, Hon. Samuel Oluwafemi Apata has reiterated his commitment towards running an all-inclusive government when elected to represent his people.
Apata made the statement during an interactive session with the media- men recently in Lagos where he said he was ready to serve his people without any bias stating that he would ensure he prioritizes youth and women empowerment through regular sporting activities and SMSE initiatives for the women respectively.
He continued, “As a grassrooter, part of my campaign promises is to prioritize grassroots sports development which stems the tide of social vices in the community alongside women empowerment through SMSE initiative”
“Even though our major role is to make laws but we cannot rule bringing soccour to those who gave us their mandate to represent them because they need some of these initiatives to survive”.
“Without an iota of doubt, I will ensure I use my office to ensure things are done in proper manner and at the right time thereby alleviating poverty in my constituency” he averred.
He, however, thanked the leaders and All Progressive Congress (APC) faithful for finding him worthy to be the flagbearer of the party to represent Somolu Constituency II at the Lagos state House of Assembly while he promised not to let them down at any point in time.
In his closing remarks, Apata enjoined the electorate to come en-mass and vote for all the APC candidates in order for the campaign promises to be kept while urging the youth to shun violence during and after the election.
