The Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has congratulated the Christian congregation in the community, Lagos, and Nigeria at large as they celebrate Easter.
According to ‘Dullar’ as fondly called in the political arena and by his well-wishers said Easter was believed to be a period when the Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which is sacred.

In the same vein, the Lagos state House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1, Hon. Olowo Rotimi Emmanuel also felicitated the Christians during this festive period and urged them to remain steadfast and celebrate minimally.
“It’s a known fact that Easter is a moment of joyous celebration of Jesus Christ risen from death and as we celebrate, we should also remember our nation at this critical time when we have security challenge that has crippled the economy and placed Nigeria on the verge of collapse”.
The lawmaker, however, noted that it’s only when Nigeria embraces unity and peaceful co-existence that the nation can move forward and begin to enjoy the status of being the ‘Giant of Africa’. He concluded.
