Somolu council boss swears-in supervisory councillors, SA’s, assign portfolios

In order to further enhance democracy and good governance at the grassroots level, the multiple-award-winning Executive chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has on Friday 8th April 2022 sworn in his cabinet members which comprise seven supervisory councillors, three SA’s, and a Secretary to the local government (SLG).

The event which took place the Somolu council secretariat has in attendance the top echelon of All Progressive Congress (APC), party members, family, and friends of the appointed members of the executives who stormed the venue in their large numbers to witness the historical event and rejoice with them.

Newly sworn-in executive members took the oath of office and secrecy recently at the Somolu local government Secretariat.

Amongst the newly sworn-in executive members includes Hon Dele Afolabi; the council SLG, Hon. Mike Ohikhe; Chairman Revenue, Hon. Tosin Odubanjo; Supervisory Councillor for ICT, Hon. Ayo-Coker (Hector); Supervisory Councillor for Agric and Sports, Hon. Abiodun Anjorin; Supervisory Councillor for Budget and Hon. Ladi Omifare; Supervisory Councillor for Health.

Other members were Hon. Alhaji Kabiru Raji as Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Alhaja Surakat Adetutu as Supervisory Councillor for WAPA, Hon. Olumide Akins as Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Hon. Koya Sodipo as Special Adviser on Environment, Hon. Tunji Shokoya as Special Adviser on Security and Hon. Abdul-Wasiu Ademola as Special Adviser on Information

Addressing the members of his executives, Mr. Koseleri as fondly called by his admirers urged the members to do what is expected of them and shun any political rancour that could drag the train of progress backward and work in harmony in order to achieve the set goal for the benefit of the people of Somolu community and the party at large.

Meanwhile, in his contribution, the LGA chairman, Hon. Ademola Olisa admonished the new executive members to be of good character and allow the oath of office they had sworn to guide them judiciously and not allow political sycophants to distract their attention.
