2021 Local Government Election: Somolu APC Stalwarts meet Arewa, Ndigbo, NUWRT, NUT other interest groups ahead of the council poll

The leaders of the All Progressive Congress in Somolu local government area of the state a few weeks ago met with the leaders and members of ethno-tribal conglomerations in the community ahead of the council poll to pave way for the party chairmanship candidate, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’.

The stakeholders meeting which was held simultaneously at the conference hall of the council has in attendance various ethno-tribal and interest groups which includes, Somolu Ndigbo, Somolu Arewa community, South-South group, Artisans, and National Union of Workers Road Transport (NUWRT), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) not leaving out religious leaders in the community.

Briefing the groups, the chairman of the Apex leader Somolu/Bariga Federal constituency, Apostle Paul Oyewusi, however, stressed the importance of voting for All progressive Congress’ chairmanship candidate, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ so as for him to return for the second term to enable him to offer his people the dividend of democracy as enshrined as the tenets of a democratic society.

“It is essential for me to let you know the importance of the gathering. We’re here to seek your indulgence to honourably vote for our candidate, ‘Dullar’, Abdulhamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ who’s so passionate about the developmental growth of the community which he has been doing in the last 4 years”.

“I want to implore those whom he must have offended to please forgive him as he’s ready to right the wrong so as to move Somolu to the next level”. He stressed.

The APC leaders used that opportunity to introduce the incoming Vice-chairman, Hon. Kunle Ekiyemi while he urged all the community leaders and members in attendance to inform their congregation to come out en-mass and vote for the right candidates come July 24th, 2021.

In their remarks, the leaders of groups reiterated their commitment towards ensuring their members take the necessary steps as far as the council election is concerned with a promise to vote for All Progressive Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate, Hon. Abdulhamed Salawudeen ‘Dullar’ for the second term in office.

Present at the well-attended meeting includes the former Executive Secretary of the council and commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Commission, Hon. Engr. Abiodun Orekoya, immediate past chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. Olorogun Gbolahan Bagostowe, the former Sole Administrator of the council, Hon. Williams Lawanson, Apex leader F.O Bakare, the chairman of Somolu/Bariga Apex leader, Apostle Peter Oyewusi, the Somolu APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Femi Taiwo, the incoming Vice-Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. Kunle Ekiyemi and the Chairman of Dullar campaign group, Hon. Oladosu Matuluko.

Others include the Somolu Somolu Muslim Community, Christian Association of Nigeria, CDC/CDAs, market men and women, artisans, traditional leaders, National Youth Council of Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Ndigbo Community, Arewa Community, South-South Community, physically challenged people, widows, ATREN, National Union of Workers Road Transport (NURTW), Association of Professional of Nigeria, United Non-Indigenes among others.
