APC shakes Somolu community to its foundation with Dullar’s mega rally

The residents of the Somolu community will never forget in a hurry the electrifying mega rally that shook the Somolu community to its foundation on Thursday 22nd, July 2021 organized by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to usher in the incumbent Chairman, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for another term come 24th July 2021.

The one-day historical, political mega rally which started at the Onipanu roundabout saw All Progressive Congress members and the interest groups who adorned in colourful T-shirts with different campaign banners, singing and dancing to a special rendition by Dullar babes and other invited artists.

The mammoth crowd was unexplainable as members and supporters were also seen sharing branded souvenirs and engaging the residents on why they should vote for their candidate, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ when the election starts in earnest in the next few hours.

Speaking to Somolu Newspaper, one of the supporters of the chairmanship candidate, Hon. Dullar, Mr. Banjoko Akekoko, described the choice of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu as ‘a right peg in a round hole’ stressing that he has no doubt in his mind that such a wonderful political personality will do the ‘Somolu right’ in terms of good governance which has been his focus since he assumed office 4 years ago.

In the same vein, the Director of Dullar campaign group, Hon. Oladosu Matuluko hinted that the essence of the rally was to further etch the imprint of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu in the mind of the electorate which will go a long way in putting the APC chairmanship candidate in a better chance of coming out victorious come 24th July, 2021.

The Dullar campaign DG, however, reminded the electorate to remain calm, cast, and protect their vote judiciously to avoid unnecessary hitches.

The campaign train moved round some major streets in Somolu which include, Shipeolu, Apata, Awoseyin, Alade, Morocco Road, Bajulaiye, Humani street, Abiodun street, Folami Street, Akanni Bashua, Ashubiaro, Fola-Agoro, Ibukun-Olu, Market Street, Watchtower, Durosimi street among others.

Among the top APC members that attended the mega rally include the chairman of Somolu/Bariga Apex leader, Apostle Peter Oyewusi, the Lagos state House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1, Hon. Rotimi Olowo Emmanuel, Somolu APC LGA chairman, Femi Taiwo, former Executive Secretary of the council and commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Commission, Hon. Engr. Abiodun Orekoya, immediate past chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. Olorogun Gbolahan Bagostowe, Apex leader F.O Bakare, the incoming Vice-chairman, Hon. Kunle Ekiyemi, top Somolu APC scribe, Hon. Alhaji Saheed Bello and the chairman of Dullar campaign group, Hon. Dosu Matuluko, the chairperson of Somolu local government, Hon. Mrs. Omotanwa Salau.

Others who were also in attendance include NUWRT members, members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Artisans, leaders, and members of ethnic groups and traditional leaders in the community amongst other.
