Iba LCDA council boss, Exco, councillors and other political appointees visit Alabarago inferno scene

The Executive Chairman of Iba LCDA, Hon. Princess Ramat-Rachel Adedayo Oseni in company of the entire Local Government Executive Council and some Councillors visited the scene of the fire incident yesterday Tuesday 20th January 2020 at Alabarago market.

The Council Boss visit was the second visit after the Executive Council members had already visited the market earlier before the news of the demise of the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA broke, but still made the visit with her colleague Hon. Rosulu Idowu, the Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government sympathize with those affected by the incident and assured the traders of thorough investigation into the cause of the inferno.

Alhaji Abubakar Malami, the Alabarago Market Chairman who received the council chairmen, reported that the fire was caused by the kerosene tanker trying to discharge product but had insufficient petrol to fuel the generator use in discharging products. He further reported that the assistant driver was trying to add fuel (petrol) to the generator without putting off the generator when the fire got ignited.

Alhaji Malami however heaped praises on the men of the Lagos State Fire Service from Ikotun and Festac who swung into meticulous action which put out the fire and enjoined the Lagos State Fire Service to put the fire fighting trucks Ojo station in good shape condition.
