The youths has been advised to be enterprising to benefit themselves and their communities. The Chairperson of Somolu Local Government, Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salawu, said this earlier today at the graduation ceremony of beneficiaries of the skill acquisition programme organized by Megalink Concepts in collaboration with Somolu Local Government.
The youths were trained at Agunbiade Vocational Center on various vocational skills like Barbing, Beautification, Computer Engineering, Computer Graphics, Catering & Confectionery, Home Essentials, Make-Up & Gele, Tailoring and Shoe & Bag Making.
The Chairperson congratulated the beneficiaries and organizers of the programme and wished the greatness in their future endeavours. She urged the beneficiaries to take the skills acquired seriously as it will help them to realize their potential as well reduce the rate of unemployment in the community respectively.
Present at the graduation ceremony is Mrs. Mariam Salawu, the chairperson of Somolu local goverment and some other top officials of the council which include Hon. Ayodele Afolabi (Chief of Staff), Hon. Adewale Oseni (Supervisory Councilor for Agric & Community Service), Alhaji Kabir Raji (Supervisory Councilor for Works & Infrastructure), Hon. Olumide Akinola (Supervisory Councilor for Health), Engr. Idowu Marayesa (Personal Aide to the Executive Chairman), Hon. Kazeem Idris (Somolu APC Organizing Secretary), Hon. Razak Tajudeen (Special Adviser on Market Matters), Hon. Bolaji Teluwo (SSA on Education) and Prince Adesina Adeeso (DG, Dullar Continua Initiative).
