The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Babatunde Fowler, on his 70th birthday anniversary.
He described Fowler, the first CEO of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) and Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue, who clocked 70 on Wednesday, August 12, as a respected public officer, tax administrator and social reformer.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who attended the 70th Birthday Thanksgiving Service of the celebrant at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), GRA Ikeja, Lagos, praised Fowler’s commitment and passionate service to Lagos State and Nigeria.
The Governor said Fowler is a seasoned professional who has contributed positively to the growth of Lagos State and Nigeria in different capacities, particularly in revenue generation.
He said: “On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the government and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Babatunde Fowler, on his 70th birthday anniversary.
“Mr. Babatunde Fowler is a worthy ambassador of our dear State and Nigeria. He has displayed leadership as a tax administrator and manager of resources at the federal and state levels.
“I wish Mr. Babatunde Fowler good health and a longer life as he celebrates his 70th birthday. God will give him the strength and grace to continue to serve God and humanity.”
