Somolu LG to launch ‘PBAT Feeds’ School Programme as Chairman Ashimi hails initiative

The Somolu Local Government Administration, under the dedicated leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, is launching the “Adopt A School for Snacks 4 Thought – PBAT FEEDS” initiative tomorrow.

In the same vein, Chairman Ashimi has hailed the initiative as a transformative milestone that seamlessly merges nutritional support with academic empowerment for grassroots pupils. He noted that introducing healthy dietary interventions alongside a cutting-edge tracking system will significantly drive school improvement.

This laudable initiative is driven by the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (RH-NHGSFP), in synergy with the Lagos State Government and the Conference-57 forum. Rollout begins at Modupe Nursery and Primary School (Somolu LGA) alongside other schools.

To ensure accountability and effective delivery, the programme leverages a comprehensive Digital Dashboard across the three (3) Senatorial Districts. This visionary framework is championed under the overarching leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and supported by Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. Execution is coordinated by Dr. Princess Aderemi F. Adebowale (National Programme Manager, National Home-Grown School Feeding), with backing from corporate partners including TechnoServe, Tornado, Emzor, and Rite.

Furthermore, Chairman Ashimi has assured that his administration remains proactive in domesticating federal and state development agendas to guarantee that Somolu children receive the best foundation for a brighter future.
