Somolu Bye-Election: ‘You merit it, you deserve the victory’-Salawu ‘Dullar’ congratulates Jolaosho

The immediate past Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu, “Dullar”, has congratulated the Councillor-elect for Bajulaiye/Fola-Agoro (Ward F), Hon. Kehinde Alimat Jolaosho, on her victory in the recently concluded bye-election conducted by the Lagos State Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

Jolaosho emerged victorious in the June 23, 2026, bye-election, securing the mandate of the people to represent Ward F in the Somolu Legislative Council.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Salawu described the councillor-elect’s victory as well-earned, noting that it was a fitting reward for her years of unwavering commitment, dedication and selfless service to the people of Bajulaiye/Fola-Agoro, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Lagos State.

“You merit it, you deserve the victory,” Dullar stated, adding that Jolaosho’s emergence at the polls reflected the confidence reposed in her by the electorate and party faithful.

According to the former council chairman, the councillor-elect has distinguished herself over the years as a committed political mobiliser whose contributions have significantly strengthened the APC’s grassroots structure in Somolu.

He commended her resilience, loyalty and consistent efforts towards the growth and development of Ward F, stressing that her victory was not accidental but a product of hard work, perseverance and dedication to public service.

Salawu also expressed confidence in Jolaosho’s ability to deliver quality representation, urging her to justify the confidence reposed in her by remaining accessible to the people and championing programmes that would improve the welfare of residents.

The former council boss further called on party members, stakeholders and residents of the ward to rally round the councillor-elect and offer their support as she assumes office.

He emphasised that unity and cooperation among party faithful would be instrumental in sustaining the developmental strides of the present administration in Somolu.

Dullar prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for Jolaosho as she embarks on her legislative responsibilities, expressing optimism that her tenure would bring meaningful development and greater dividends of democracy to the people of Bajulaiye/Fola-Agoro Ward F.
