The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, has been honoured for his exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to grassroots development by Ridwanny Concept during a courtesy visit to the council secretariat.
The honour was conferred when a delegation from Ridwanny Concept, led by its pioneer, Seyidd Ridwanullah Otolorin Tomori, paid a visit to the Chairman as part of activities marking the organisation’s 5th anniversary celebration. The visit, according to the delegation, was aimed at appreciating leaders who have demonstrated commitment to community growth, inclusiveness and good governance.
Present at the occasion to receive the delegation alongside the Chairman were the Vice Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Hassan Ojomu, and the Leader of the 10th Somolu Legislative House, Hon. Tunde James Oyeyiola, among other top council officials.
Speaking during the visit, Seyidd Tomori explained that the recognition was in acknowledgement of Hon. Ashimi’s consistent support for community-based and faith-driven initiatives, as well as his people-oriented leadership style which has continued to positively impact the lives of residents across Somolu.
He noted that under Chairman Ashimi’s administration, Somolu has witnessed improved engagement with community organisations, youths and religious bodies, fostering unity, peace and development within the local government area.
In his response, Hon. Ashimi expressed gratitude to Ridwanny Concept for the honour, describing it as a motivation to do more for the people of Somolu. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, community partnership and policies that promote social development and collective progress.
The Chairman also commended the organisation for its contributions to moral development and community service over the past five years, encouraging them to sustain their vision and continue to impact society positively.
The event ended on a cordial note with prayers, group photographs and renewed assurances of collaboration between the Somolu Local Government administration and Ridwanny Concept, in line with the broader vision of building a united and prosperous community.
