The political atmosphere in Somolu was filled with solemnity as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Apex Leaders, alongside key Ward E stalwarts, paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Segun Fehintola, a respected former Leader of the Legislative Council.
Leading the delegation on behalf of party stakeholders, Apostle Peter Oyewusi, Hon. Ademola Olisa, and Alhaji Bakare were joined by the Majority Leader of the Somolu Legislative Council, Hon. Afees Raheem. Also in attendance were prominent Ward E figures, including Alhaji Akewusure, Baba Adebayo, Hon. Babafemi Olowole Denmark, and Mrs. Folarin Serah, the Ward E Chairman, among other community leaders.
During the visit, the APC leaders expressed their deep sympathy to the grieving family, offering words of comfort and prayers for strength in this difficult period. Apostle Oyewusi, speaking on behalf of the party, described the late Hon. Fehintola as “a bridge-builder, a man of integrity, and a political icon whose contributions to Somolu’s growth will remain indelible in our hearts.”
The delegation also reflected on Hon. Fehintola’s selfless service to the community, his leadership qualities, and his unwavering commitment to the ideals of the APC. They assured the family that his legacies would continue to inspire political leadership in Somolu.
Family members, visibly moved by the show of solidarity, expressed appreciation to the APC leaders for standing by them in their time of grief.
Hon. Segun Fehintola, who passed away recently at the age of 60 after a protracted illness, served as Councillor representing Ward E and later as Leader of the House during the administration of former Council Chairman, Hon. Adegbola Ademoroti. His political career was marked by dedication to grassroots development and mentorship of emerging leaders.
The condolence visit reaffirmed the strong bonds within the APC family in Somolu and the enduring respect for leaders who dedicated their lives to public service.
