Hon. Lateef Ashimi, the Chairman-elect of Somolu Local Government, has continued to earn the admiration of residents following his donation of a functional borehole to Onaolapo Community Development Association (CDA) on Adebiyi Street. This thoughtful gesture has brought great relief to the people, solving a critical water challenge and reflecting his commitment to responsive leadership.
The project unveiling attracted notable figures including Chief Shina Olunuga and Alhaji Saka Adedoyin, who both praised Ashimi for his visionary spirit. With 34,202 votes secured in last Saturday’s APC local government elections, Ashimi has promised to build on the achievements of outgoing Chairman Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, recently recognized by the Presidency for multiple landmark projects.
