In a warm display of friendship and political goodwill, prominent leaders in Somolu Local Government Area joined in extending heartfelt birthday greetings to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship flagbearer and serving Councillor representing Ward B, Hon. Abdul-Lateef Ashimi, as he marked his birthday.
The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu, popularly known as Dullar, led the chorus of congratulatory messages, describing Ashimi as “a dedicated public servant with an unrelenting passion for grassroots development.”
In his goodwill message, Dullar stated:
“Hon. Ashimi is a focused and committed politician whose contributions to Somolu’s progress are commendable. I join family, friends, and political associates in celebrating him today. May his years ahead be filled with wisdom, strength, and impactful service.”
Also joining in the birthday celebration was the Somolu Local Government Chairperson, Hon. Mariam Omotanwa Salau, who praised Ashimi for his humility, loyalty, and unwavering support to the party and the people of Somolu.
“He is a bridge-builder and a dependable ally in our collective mission to move Somolu forward. I wish him a joyous birthday and continued success,” she said.
Several other dignitaries, including party chieftains, youth leaders, council legislators, and community stakeholders, took to social media and various platforms to eulogize Ashimi, calling him a “rising star” and “pillar of Somolu politics.”
Hon. Ashimi, who recently received the official APC flag as the party’s chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming July 12 Lagos local government elections, expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and prayers. In his brief message, he wrote: “I am overwhelmed and grateful. Thank you all for the prayers, messages, and kind wishes. I remain committed to serving the good people of Somolu with sincerity and purpose.”
