From 7–11 August, 32 of the world’s top men and women in table tennis will step into the spotlight at WTT Champions Yokohama 2025. And for the first time ever, Japan plays host to one of WTT’s most elite battlegrounds. The action will be fierce. The drama? Inevitable. And soon, fans can claim their seat.
At the centre of the action is Yokohama BUNTAI, a next-generation arena purpose-built for moments like this. With a 5,000-seat capacity and striking modern design, the venue is located on sacred sporting ground; rising from the site of the original Buntai, which opened in 1962 and served as a beloved home for Japanese sports and community events for over half a century. Now, in its reimagined form, the new BUNTAI is ready to write a new legacy, this time, on the global stage.
Yokohama itself is no stranger to bold reinvention. Once Japan’s gateway to the world, this port city became a symbol of international exchange, culture, and modernity. Today, it’s home to one of the largest Chinatowns in Japan, historic sites like the Red Brick Warehouse, and the futuristic pulse of Minato Mirai 21.
