The birthday celebration of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, and the Agba-Akin of Agboyi-Kingdom took a heartwarming turn as prominent figures within and beyond the local government area paid glowing tributes to the dynamic leader.

In separate congratulatory messages, several notable personalities including Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya, Mr. Akeem Anifowoshe, and the former Sole Administrator of Somolu LG; Hon. Williams Bamidele Lawanson joined by two other well-wishers, lauded Dullar for his uncommon dedication to grassroots development, youth empowerment, healthcare delivery system and inclusive governance in Somolu.

Hon. Orekoya, the Lagos state House of Assembly member representing Somolu Constituency I, described Dullar as a “visionary leader whose passion for community growth continues to inspire many.” He emphasized his consistent support for women-focused initiatives, especially in the areas of economic empowerment and education.

Mr. Akeem Anifowoshe, one of the Somolu APC Chairmanship aspirants, CEO of Anisfield Nigeria Ltd and recipient of the 2024 Somolu Red Ribbon Award, hailed Dullar as a “pillar of support to youth-oriented campaigns,” particularly in the fight against drug abuse. “His open-door policy and unwavering support for advocacy groups make him not just a political leader but a community father figure,” Anifowoshe stated.

In his birthday tribute, Hon. Williams Lawanson, a political leader in the community praised Dullar for transforming Somolu’s political narrative with strategic empowerment programs, infrastructural renewal, and transparent leadership. “He is a rare blend of intellect, action, and compassion,” Williams remarked.

Joining the chorus of praise were Hon. Mrs. Maryam Owolabi-Bada, the SSA to the council chairman on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), and Alhaja Alausa, a market leader at the Abraham Adesanya Market, who both appreciated Dullar for his grassroots engagements and steady efforts to uplift the standard of living of Somolu residents.

The well-wishers described Hon. Salawu’s birthday as a moment not only to celebrate his personal achievements but also to reflect on his exemplary service record and people-centric leadership.

Over the years, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu has distinguished himself as a leader of the people, spearheading developmental projects across sectors — from education and health to infrastructure and social welfare. His administration’s popular N50,000 cash empowerment for over 1,000 residents in different batches has received commendation from multiple quarters.

As he adds another year, stakeholders across Lagos continue to recognize Dullar’s legacy of leadership, calling for greater opportunities for him to serve on wider platforms in the near future.

The celebration, though low-key, saw a flurry of goodwill messages across social media, further cementing Hon. Salawu’s position as one of Somolu’s most loved and respected political figures.
