The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ikorodu North Local Branch has expressed heartfelt gratitude to their Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, BLDR. Adeola Adebisi Banjo, for the donation of an operational office. This significant gesture has been met with numerous accolades and appreciation from the executives and NYCN members.
Recognized for his unwavering support and investment in youth development, Chairman Banjo’s contribution is a pivotal step towards enhancing the council’s efficiency. He lauded the efforts of the current NYCN administration under the leadership of Comr. Adewale Jackson Ayika, commending their dedication and impressive activities. This donation, he noted, is a testament to his commitment to further supporting the youth’s initiatives.
Comr. Adewale Jackson Ayika, the Coordinator of NYCN Ikorodu North, expressed profound gratitude, highlighting the historical significance of the donation. “Our Chairman has done what has never been done before in the history of Ikorodu North Youth Council,” he remarked.
“This operational office, which we fondly refer to as the ‘Youth House,’ will greatly aid in our activities and is ample enough to accommodate all our needs.”
Ayika also acknowledged the Chairman’s extensive contributions to youth education, skills acquisition, empowerment, and development opportunities amongst many others. He praised Banjo’s visionary leadership and dedication to the youth, which has consistently set him apart from his peers.
“It takes a visionary leader to see potential in the youth thereby prioritizing them now and then. Your exemplary leadership and open-door policy no doubt distinguished you from contemporaries”.
“Thank you our father, for being an exceptional leader. Your guidance and continuous support have significantly impacted our growth and success,” Ayika concluded.
The appreciation ceremony saw the attendance of key NYCN executives, including Comr. Sodiq Ismail, Public Relations Officer; Comr. Raji Seye, Assistant General Secretary; Comr. Toriola Mariam, Financial Secretary; and Comr. Rasaq Saheed, Auditor.
They were all present to witness the commissioning of the new Isiwu Area Office, where the Youth Council’s new operational office is situated.
