A Lagos-based businessman and philanthropist, Bishop Emmanuel Oluwaseun Abegunde a few weeks ago donated and mounted 16 Solar street-lights to Unity Community Association comprising Akanni, Aiyepe, Duru, and Ogunbadejo street under Somolu local government.
The project donor, Chief Abegunde said was part of his way of giving back to society stressing that the street lights would keep the community safe and secure at all times.
Reacting to the initiative, the CDA Chairman of the Association, Mr. Lanre Odujoko revealed that such a philanthropic gesture was a laudable one that deserved to be appreciated noting that the street lights would not only boost the security architecture but also beautify the community.
He continued, “The philanthropic gesture from the donor is a laudable project that will light up the community for good, safe and secure. The solar light-up project is long overdue and I’m so excited we now have solar lights spread across the streets under Unity CDA”.
“On behalf of my executive and the good people under Unity Community Association, I’m sending my warmest gratitude to Bishop Emmanuel Oluwaseun Abegunde for the Unity community a befitting facelift. He raved.
“The donor I will say is a good man who has just exhibited the class he belongs to. Unfortunately, we’re used to the bad ones who had nothing to show for staying in the community”.
“And for somebody who had barely stayed in his newly built house coming up with this initiative says a lot about who he is. He came up with the biblical injunction where God said let there be light and there was light, he’s truly a good man, no doubt about that”.
Jackal never seized heaping praises on him while he urged the community to maintain and sustain the solar light project as he prayed for the donor’s good health.
