Massive turnout as Somolu APC takes door-to-door campaign to the electorate

It was a massive turnout as Somolu APC House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Biodun Orekoya, and his supporters on Thursday 16, 2023 had a door-to-door campaign that commenced at Orekoya Independent Campaign Group Director General; Hon. Bowale Sosimi’s ward in Fadeyi.

The campaign which was designed to engage the electorate in the eight political wards that make up Somolu Constituency 1 had top members of the ruling party in attendance.

Meanwhile, Hon. Bowale Sosimi introduced the House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Orekoya to his people and informed them to come out on Saturday, March 18, 2023, to cast their votes for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Orekoya, and all other APC candidates in the state for economic, and political advancement.

“We have to make sure we deliver and re-elect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu once again; vote Hon. Abiodun Orekoya for good representation that’ll ensure infrastructural growth, youth employment, and educational advancement in Somolu and Lagos state at large.”

Somolu Ninth Legislative Council led by her amiable leader; Hon. Yomi Osunkoya who also joined the walk-through, solicited votes from Somolu electorates. In his remarks, the APC’23 Lagos State House Of Assembly Candidate for Somolu Constituency 1, Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya appealed to Somolu electorates to kindly give their votes to APC for more infrastructural development, Youth empowerment and working Lagos for all.

He told the electorates to compare his records with those contesting against him with a pledge to judiciously represent Somolu’s interest. “With all honest, allow me to let you know that I’m ready to use my intellectual ability, connection, and influence to make good legislation, lobby for more infrastructural projects for my constituency, sponsor, and support bills that will better the lives of my constituents.” He stated.

In the same vein, the incumbent Lawmaker, Hon. Olowo Rotimi who also registered present during the walk-through alongside his supporters, encouraged the electorates to cast their votes for APC while eulogizing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Olu for his stupendous three years and ten months in office; the reason why we have to continue to support him.

Hon. Olowo in a comment reiterated the importance of Lagos to Nigeria and Africa’s economy noting that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has shown he has the capacity and intelligence to make this state greater such that it can compete with New York City in the nearest future in terms of development and technological breakthroughs.

He continued, “Somolites, I have a good, sound, capable, and well-informed successor who I can vouch for any day and anywhere. I have the strong belief that Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya will start from where I’m stepping down.” Similarly, the Convener, Lagos Youth for Sanwo-Olu; Hon. Ruth Ayomide Lijirin in her comment advised the youths to come out en mass on Saturday to re-elect Mr. Sellable; Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and vote for Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya.

The Executive Chairman of Somolu LG, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ and his Executive members were not left out of the Walk-through programme where they enjoined residents, market men and women, youths, and all eligible voters in Somolu to vote for all APC candidates. The multiple award-winning council boss presented the scorecard of the present Lagos State administration led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and also appealed for continued belief in the APC-led government in Lagos state because APC is a party that understands, and he’s ready to give back to the society in terms of infrastructural development, education, health, and empowerment.

“Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya is another seasoned politician with a great track record. When he was the Executive Secretary of Somolu Local government, he built the Akinwunmi Ambode Primary Health Care Center, laid the foundation for the hostel at Akoka, and began the ‘Ounje Agba’ that my administration embraced and continued unabated. Please Somolites, let us come out in our thousands to cast our votes for the APC.” He enthused.
