CAF General Secretary Mosengo-Omba arrives in Algeria for CHAN stadium visits and meetings

CAF General Secretary, Mosengo-Omba

Mosengo-Omba will tour the four stadiums to inspect the state of readiness. On Friday, 04 November 2022, he will meet the President of the Algeria Football Federation, Zefizef Djahid, and the Minister of Youth and Sports Abderrazak Sebgag.

On Saturday 05 November, he will travel to Oran and visit the stadium around 12h00.

For the first time in the history of the competition, 18 teams are taking part in the final tournament: Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Ghana, Cameroon, Congo, DR Congo, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Angola, and Madagascar.

The qualified countries have been divided into five groups: three (3) groups of four teams and two (2) groups of three teams each.

ALGIERS

Thursday 03 November 2022:

– 16H30 – Visit of the new stadium of Baraki and its annex field.

ORAN

Saturday 05 November 2022:

– 11H30 – Visit of the Miloud Hedfi stadium, and the two annex fields;

ANNABA & CONSTANTINE

Sunday 06 November 2022:

– 09H30 – Visit of the 19 May 1956 stadium (Annaba), and its annex field;

– 14H30 – Visit of the Hamlaoui stadium, and its annex field;
