Right from the day Alhaja Safurat Anifowose was pronounced dead by her children and committed to the mother earth according to Islamic injunction, Epeland has not seized from receiving one guest or the other as family, friends, religious groups, community leaders not leaving our royal fathers from Epe and the neighbouring towns queue to pay their last respect to Alhaja Safuratu Oreoluwa Anifowose, the Asiwaju Adinni of Sumratul Islamiyah Society of Nigeria who died on 22nd of September, 2022 at the ripe age of 85 years.
The event which commenced at about 12 pm on Thursday 29th September 2022 at the Epe recreation center was not different from what the Yorubas will term as ‘Pepeye ponmo’ kind of ceremony as the center was filled to its capacity with the guests cladding in White and Blue apparel which made the final burial ceremony of the Octogenarian the talk of the town that will remain evergreen for many years to come.
From all indications, the center was not just a special prayer session for Alhaja Safurat Anifowose but another glorifying space for the reunion of old friends, relatives, and business networking who joyfully exchange pleasantries and business contacts signaling the beginning of a new era for young Nigeria millionaires, and new couples in town.
The well-organized fidau prayer did not go without the guests being treated to a sumptuous meal and assorted drinks coupled with good vibes from a reputable DJ who did all he could switching from ‘oldies to new ones’ to make the event a memorable and exciting one.
Souvenirs of different shapes and colours were shared by the children of the late Asiwaju Adinni of Sumratul-Islamiyah Society of Nigeria to the guests in appreciation of their presence and support at the 8th Day fidau prayer and final burial ceremony of their loving mother.
