Glitz and glamour at the final burial of late APC woman leader, Mrs. Iyabode Adunni Oladepo-Ayoade

All roads lead to Majidun town in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area of the state, the venue of the final burial ceremony of late Lagos Mainland All Progressive Congress (APC) Woman leader, Mrs. Iyabode Adunni Oladepo-Ayoade who breathe her last on 28th of August, 2022 at the ripe age of 84.

 

The event, no doubt was a top-notch ceremony that attracted top political elites, religious groups, community leaders, and other members of the society far and near in honour of the late political amazon who in the event of her existence on earth has contributed her quota in no small measures to the development of her immediate environment and impacted meaningfully into the lives of those crossed her path in kind and cash.

The well-attended event showcased the Yoruba cultural set-up with Aso-Ebi of different colours coupled with well-crafted caps and headgear exhibited by the family and the guests depicting the social class they embraced. Although, the early morning shower almost put the event on hold but the cloudy cloud later embraced the sunshine with warmth and conducive atmospheric condition.

Meanwhile, the children of the former Lagos Mainland LCDA Woman Leader did not disappoint a bit as they exhibited a discerning class and simplicity in the way and manner they entertained their guests with lots of assorted foods and drinks not leaving out a good taste for classical music that kept many of the guests on their toes till dawn.

Friends from Forever wellness outreach did not hesitate to show the stuff they were made of with classical dance steps to much of the classical music that kept heads turning intermittently thereby making the event a colourful and exciting one.

The Anglican Church into which she was born and served as a committed member till her death did not only honour her in death with many of them in attendance but also offered prayer to the deceased and her children.

The eldest son of late Mrs. Iyabode Adunni Oladepo-Ayoade, Mr.Richard Ayoade, however, in his appreciation remarks poured encomium on the religious leaders and their members, friends, and family who took out time despite their tight schedule to honour their invitation while he prayed for their continued well-being in good health and sound mind.
