The Rector of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Engr. Obafemi Owoseni Omokungbe has congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, wishing them a peaceful and happy celebration.
The Rector in a press statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joe Ejiofor, urged Muslim and Non-Muslim staff of the college to imbibe the virtue of love and peace and promote the principle of being one another’s keepers as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
He stressed further, “On behalf of Management, I felicitate with Staff, Students, Alumni, and Friends of the College on this solemn festival of the Year 2022 *Eid-El Kabir Celebrations*.
“I enjoin all Muslim and non-Muslim staff of the College to imbibe the virtue of love and peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)”
“As we celebrate with our families, friends, and well-wishers, let us be vigilant and mindful of the security challenges of our environment. We should therefore celebrate moderately and responsibly”.
“Equally, let me use this period to express appreciation to the staff and students of the College who have always supported Management in its effort to reposition the College as an institution of the first choice in the country”.
“Our commitment as a responsible and responsive Management remains to make Yabatech greater”.
“To achieve this, however, we must continue to work together and collectively as a people with a common vision and goal”.
Omokungbe in his closing remarks prayed for Allah’s grace to achieve the dream and Allah’s blessings to fill everyone’s life with joy, peace, and good health”.
