The chairperson of Somolu local government, Hon. Mariam Omotanwa Salau has recounted the ordeal of losing a caring and wonderful mother.
Speaking with Somolu News recently, the Somolu 2023 ABAT Movement Women Leader said it has not been an easy task coping without her mother with whom she gists and shares ideas on daily basis.
“Anytime I’m out of town or forget to call her, she will call and ask after me and serenade me with one or two jokes that oftentimes relax my muscles”.
“Honestly, I still don’t believe my gist partner is gone. In the last few days, it still appears to me like a dream. I share my joy and pain with her and she would console me when I’m in pain and as well celebrate my success. My mother is truly a mother in millions, very tolerant, accommodating, loving, and caring”.
“When I returned to Nigeria from the US, she welcomed me back home with an open hand and supported every positive idea I share with her, advice me where and when necessary owing to her knowledge of the trend in the country at that time. No doubt about the fact that I’m going to miss her so much”. She claimed
Hon. Omotanwa, however, prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her all misdeeds and grant her mother aljanah fridaus.
